About Maria

Maria Blomqvist is a Swedish author. Her book En vacker dag lämnar jag honom (2014) is a true story of psychological abuse and manipulation – and of the way out.

The book has reached an international audience and is now being published in several languages, including Norwegian, Estonian, Italian, Dutch, Danish and Finnish.

Maria is currently working on her next book, drawn from her own family history: the story of her grandmother Hilma Broström and a childhood at a residential school home in Karesuando, in Sweden's far north, in the early twentieth century.
